Library
The Savitsky Collection's library contains 10,000 books, with a range of topics including oriental studies, Russian and folk art, gender development and anthropology. Many literary and artistic journals and magazines have been collected over the years, including Art, Young Artist, Folk Applied Art, Bulletin of Ancient History, Archaeology and Ethnography, New World, People's Friendship, amongst many others. Early 20th century journals include The World of Art and The Golden Fleece.
The Savitsky Collection's library continues to grow as it receives collections from the estates of well-known individuals, such as the ethnographer T.A. Zhkanko and the archaeologist A.V. Gudkova.
Those coming from abroad are charged a nominal entrance fee of 6,000 soums and should provide notice to the library of their arrival date. For the citizens of Uzbekistan entrance fee to the library 3,000 soums.
