Library and Book Store
The Savitsky Collection's library contains over 10,000 books. Topics include oriental studies, Russian and folk art, gender development and anthropology. Many journals and magazines are in the collection, including Art, Young Artist, Folk Applied Art, Bulletin of Ancient History, Archaeology and Ethnography, New World, and People's Friendship. Early 20th century journals include The World of Art and The Golden Fleece.
The Savitsky Collection's library continues to grow as it receives collections from the estates of well-known individuals, such as the ethnographer T.A. Zhkanko and the archaeologist A.V. Gudkova.
Foreign visitors should contact the library (via the museum) in advance. Entrance fee is 6,000 soums. Uzbek citizens pay 3,000 soums entrance.

Monday – Friday: 09.00 - 13.00 and 14.00 - 16.00.
Saturday and Sunday - closed
Book Store & Gift Shop:
The Museum's bookstore offers catalogues, posters, post cards and books related to its collections. The gift shop's items include T-shirts, bookmarks, folk art and textiles made by local artisans using traditional Karakalpak designs. Original paintings by local artists are also available.
